Ch 20 - Hidden bellhorns - rudder conduit
I am preparing for glassing the inside layups of the wing and winglet. I am going to use the hidden bellhorns. The question is: What do I do with the rudder conduit? Just follow the plans and glass

Ken,
Well-stated. I know some out there who could use some wire cutters and a rock.

Simon, I feel your pain. When I built my second LongEZ it took four years, twice as long as my first. Problem was, I had my Kingfisher Amphibian to fly, but also I'd made a deal with a friend who had

That depends on what your scoping into your calculation.
If you start to count the years of storing the plane in heated garages and hangers while your working towards getting time to work on it,

I’m with you Simon. My Varieze has been a total distraction for the last 6 years. In that time I’ve done almost nothing on my Cozy. However, I did use the Varieze to do a lot of learning, mostly

Building:
RVs clean and noisy
EZs quiet and messy and dusty and sticky and and.... more challenging to build and more fun to fly ( or so I have been told)
Rich ......creating lots of quiet dust

So RV’s come in a set of boxes with a ’some assembly required’ sticker on it, right? And Longs in an envelope that says ‘Read ALL directions carefully, THEN panic.”?

I would like to add my thoughts and experience in building Canards to the discussion. I was thirty years old when I started my Vari, full of energy and drive to get it flying. It flew in 3-1/2 years

Yeah, I agree. There's a difference between a "plans built" and a "kit built". They all have "plans", but the kits have the vast majority of parts pre-fabricated with emphasis on assembly. The Rutan

I’ve always looked at RV aircraft as assembled planes. Canards are crafted by artists.
