Lyc O-235 baffles / VariEze.
Hello group,
I'm building new baffles on my engine. (Section IIC) Old parts are bad-soft aluminum and craked ....
Around the exhaust pipes (both sides) is a 5-6 mm gap (0.2 - 0.25 inch).
Is that ok

You mention reassemble tube to engine after cure but didn't say how you glued or fabricated it.

Good answer Andrew. That hinge gets covered and embedded with epoxy and glass. Promise you it won’t get loose unless unacceptable extreme forces overcome the aileron.
