Hardly extreme. That's about 140 F. The blue foam in the wings can take up to 150 F, and still it's below max post cure for most epoxy resin systems. From memory (watch out!) I seem to recall in

Re: Post cure
Nope none due to lack of post cure. But 60C is only 140 F, not that extreme. I'll bet some have had that sitting in a closed garage.

Post cure
I just read where a long ez underwent an 18 hour post cure at 60 degrees C. Seems extreme.
So has a canard ever fallen out of the sky because it wasn’t post cured.....just wondering

Yes, you a right about being more risky than having access to the entire fuel in the event of a valve malfunction that causes it to stay closed.
That being said I was thinking that switching tank

Eric,
The idea of auto-isolating the fuel is a nice idea. However, Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) would argue the failure mode route. If you consider the valve as a single unit and look

Just one person's opinion about purchasing.
Before one plunks down any money, get a list of deliverables and shipping dates. That's just for starters. Also get any references available. If

Hi Dave,
I’ve chosen Normally Closed selenoid valve so that in the event of a complete power loss and issuing force landing the valve will be closed and hopefully keep the fuel from the strakes

Unless the pax in the back are complaining about sway, or you're having dutch roll issues, why bother?
Better: put a chime in the plane to signal the rear seat "attendant" to pass your meal up after

Thank you VERY much.
I read Marc's email when he posted

not have time to look but I will do it now.
I think I may have a copy; I have a
small archive
