Hi Del
Are you using a Lycoming prop governor cover plate or a home made plate?
When I converted my IO 360 A1A to a fixed pitch prop I made a cover plate from 1/8 inch thick 2024. It would leak after

I've made 8 or 10 of these over the years. It ain't rocket science. They contain a 6" X 2" K&N filter. At least half the work is doing the carb heat so if you have FI it's lots quicker to make. --

I have some access to 3D printers at Brandeis. If you can get the coordinate file, I might be able to print it for you.

Here's something that I was playing with .
It needs to be transformed into an ally 90 deg. curved box (flat sided as shown) grafted onto a 2 1/2" dia tube (for SCAT hose) at the input end

Re: Long-EZ O-320 air filter setup
With my first LE when I changed from the plans version to a proper carb mounted air box I picked up 100 RPM static. The power difference was noticeable. Also a few more HP because of the ram effect.

Yup. If your warning system is going off, especially on a regular basis,
you're doing it wrong! Short of mechanical/electrical failure, one should
take that personally as a "pilot failure"
