Re: Dipstick tube.
Send me the dipstick housing and I'll machine it to size. Include the dipstick so I can adjust it to the new housing length.
Cover shipping both ways. No charge for the modification. Send me an Email

Re: Dipstick tube.
Take the roll pin out of the cap and slid the stick thru to the correct length and cut off extra. (Very EZ)

Re: Dipstick tube.
Hi Glenn,
What I recall I did was cut out the necessary length, less an inch, then bore a little out of one end and machine down the diameter on the other end so you have a slip fit. You don't want

Re: COZY: Antenna placement
Interesting design, but how does it fare when you are over the tower. The ADSB towers are relatively short range compared with the RADAR systems for ATC. A dipole or Monopole looks like the best

Re: Dipstick tube.
I believe the thing is made from a phenolic, not sure what adhesive might work on it.
Assuming this stuff is machinable, maybe cut a counter bore in each half to accept a thin steel tube inserted in

Re: Dipstick tube.
Mine's fine but I think the easiest solid fix is to cut x.x inches out of the center and weld the ends back together, clean well and paint.

Re: Dipstick tube.
I shortened a too-long Lyco dipstick/tube and it worked fine - I seem to recall that it was a recommended fix in one of the CPs?

I would agree with Mr. Berlin and is what I will do. The first Echo's seem to have had some issues with ghosting, but the word now is that it no longer has problems. Plus, I think the Echo may even be

Re: Dipstick tube.
Cutting a gluing will work (I did it), but you might need a lathe to ensure a proper fit. Another option is cutting and using a short transition coupling of tubing with hose clamps
