See if you can wiggle the Throttle shaft. It has bushings on each side that wear out. If it wiggles, all that need be done is new throttle shaft and bushings.

Just-in-case, try a burp test to see if you have any induction leaks downstream of the carb

Are you gravity feed or do you have a fuel pump? One explanation for what you are describing *might* be an intermittent low fuel supply flow for some unknown reason. Partially plugged tank

When I found a valve cap missing on the nose wheel, Rick, I replaced all of my plastic valve caps with metal ones as well . BUT, was sorry I did!
At least for the nose wheel

Hi folks,
I've been troubleshooting the O-200 in my VariEze with no success, and I'm wondering if anybody might have some tips before I send my carb in for an overhaul or replacement.

My initial tires/tubes were Michelin, thank you J.D. I replaced the cheesy

Re: Tire Leakage
Marc,
The valve stem in a tube is removable. I remove the valve when deflating the tube. A valve stem tool will unscrew the valve easily, no damage to the tube itself occurs.

Fix the leak, don't try to hide it. Land on a flat and you'll wish you had.

Our FBO is very strong on GoodYear tubes, they cost more but have less leakage issues.
