Ray Allen Vendor Report
Terry Schubert
It is a pleasure to see Marc's report. Too few good reports are seen with many vendors giving it all to make their products dependable and well supported..
Thanks Marc!

Just wanted to put in a good word for Ray Allen Company, Inc. I have two G407 sticks in my COZY MKIV, with the hat switch and two push buttons on the top (as well as the PTT on the front). I like them a lot. They've been in the plane for just two years. However, the left pushbutton on the pilot's stick (used for A/P disconnect) died a few weeks ago. I took the stick apart and verified that it was the switch that wasn't closing - it wasn't a wiring issue.
I called Ray Allen, told them that I had a dead switch and they said "it's rare, but it does happen" (a welcome change from those vendors whose immediate response to things that happen regularly and are known to happen regularly but state, reflexively "we've never seen that before", as if we won't know that they're lying through their teeth). I asked them to send me a few replacement switches, just in case, and they said sure. Along with the switches, they sent a few replacement screws for the interior of the stick, since they're small and easily losable. They didn't charge me a dime, and spent 5 minutes explaining the best way to disassemble the stick for switch replacement.
Anyway, good vendor, and good product.
