Re: LED Landing light?

I have such inverted Porche frog light come out from underneath the nose of my Cozy and operated with a linear actuator. The good part is that the light beam is adjustable, but with all these LED options there is these days, I do not think I would go that route again. Rather build a fixed system, maybe of a combo of landing light and taxi and arrange for a tall, vertical beam and you would not need any adjustments at all...
My two cents on the subject

All good ideas and comments!

Another idea that I had (but would take a lot of work) was to make a new access cover in the nose which was hinged and attached to some type of linear actuator.  The landing light would be retractable like the headlights on a Porsche 944 or the early Corvette Stingrays.
