Re: Looking for help
Just wanted to thank everyone for their suggestions. Did surgery yesterday by splicing a new line at the hellhole and taping it to the leg. Flew home this morning without any problems.

Re: Looking for help
The first chance you get replace all of those 8th inch nylon lines with braided braided Teflon all the way to the masters. Those nylon lines are just a gigantic pain but sooner or later

Re: Looking for help
Grab a 60” braided line from Summit racing. Run that line along the trailing edge duct tape it on. Run it into the fuse and make your splice. The tough part will be getting the pieces to splice into

Re: Looking for help
I would go 'Quick Fix', like others have said. Get a roll of the nylon style, disconnect at master cylinder, run to rear, down gear leg external, and hook into brake cylinder. Pump fluid in from brake

Re: Looking for help
Well, a "quick fix", perhaps enough to get home, would be a line down the outside of the gear leg, and taped on securely.
If you need to do major work, I'd suggest the 1/8 x .020 stainless steel

Re: Looking for help
On both my Long EZ's when I installed the nylo brake lines I installed fittings just before they go down the gear legs. Inside the legs I stacked soda straws and glassed those in. The nylo goes inside

Re: Looking for help
I did not build the aircraft.
The master cylinders are in the front. I am pretty sure it is the brake line, I refilled the master cylinder and pumped the brakes, the fluid leaks where the main landing

Re: Looking for help
Sean, Maybe the fastest is to run a new temp line from the master through the interior and out the back and taped alongside the outside gear leg.
After some rough measuring and doing the nylaflow

Sean,
It sounds like you are not sure where the leak is. When I had my EZ I lost a brake due to a leak. Fortunately, I was aware of it before landing, as the rudder stop didn’t feel right. I

It sounds like the brake line. Did you build the aircraft?
Are the master cylinders in the nose or on the firewall?

Have a brake line leak on a Longez. Stranded at Conroe, looking for someone who can do repairs.
Looks like the leak is at the joint between the fuselage and the landing gear.
